Due to high inflation in Malawi and rising prices on the world market, there is a threat of severe food shortage in Misuku. Therefore, the corn and horticulture project is still asking for support (even though the corn harvest is reasonably good this year). In connection with this food shortage, the people in Misuku want to expand the project (including the cultivation of peanuts). Sufficient food precedes development and education. Therefore, we have decided that we will continue to support the people there with our foundation in their efforts to become more self-sufficient. For the children at school, there is of course the corn porridge. This year, poor elderly people (14 women and 7 men) also received a bag of 50 kg of corn as a gift. This year we financially supported 2 young people in their studies: the students Augustine and the high school student Feli For a student, Asanta (here in the photos), our foundation paid the college fee once, because his father could not afford sufficient means at that time and therefore appealed to us. At the primary school, our foundation has ensured that the 3 youngest groups now have school benches. The benches for the students in the highest classes still need to be refurbished. Group 4, 5 and 6 still do not have benches; these students will have to sit on the ground for the time being. Education for adults is still ongoing with the books from last year In January of this year, we received a message that due to heavy rains and strong winds, the house of a grandmother over 80 collapsed. Our foundation has contributed to the reconstruction of her house.
